I finally made a bag!!! A little bit of a slow start because we had a poorly dog, various trips to vets, specialists, lots of home confinement and whle there was a few weeks where we thought Ruby may have a bone cancer, it turned out to be a very aggressive bone infection. Well, two infections plus eColi in her wound – which I never knew was a thing. I must admit to having a very fraught 4 or 5 weeks, but Ruby is finaly starting to pick up again and look, and behave, more like herself – hooray!!!!

Now I don’t have to be so hands on with Ruby’s care, I found time to make a bag. This one was just for me and I love it. To start, I had the most lovely vinyl from a previous Bag Makers Box and matching webbing for the strap. I changed up the pattern ever so slightly to allow me to add hidden connectors and added a different base and bag feet. The pattern I used was the Zora by Bag Goddess Patterns.

I had great fun, took my time as I felt a little rusty (and have been fighting off an asthma attack) so I didn’t want the lack of oxygen in my brain to cause mistakes LOL and I have a lovely new bag.

I did end up having a full blown asthma attack, ending up with a trip to A&E, nebulisers, steroids, ECG’s, xrays, etc, but I’m recovering now.

Now I’ve got the bag making bug back, I’m playing around with ideas of new bags in my mind. I must remember to jot the ideas down in my notebook as they come to me, or I’ll forget them as fast as I think them up LOL
